Supporting Unearth Talents, Commitment to the Underprivileged
200 boots were donated in the 10 regions of Ghana with the help of Alhaji Kassim, supported by officials of the Ghana Education Service (GES).
The boots were sent to schools in far flung corners of Ghana, bringing joy to the recipients, some of whom have never owned any pair of sports shoes.
Commenting on the donation, Country Manager for Nestlé Ghana, Moataz El Hout, stated: “As a brand which is easily identified with sports, MILO does not only support the unearthing and celebration of talents as was seen in the 27th Accra MILO® marathon, but it is also committed to the development of our communities”.
Donation to touch more children in the coming years
One of the beneficiary pupils, 11-year old Kwadwo Baah of Tontro M/A Primary School in the Eastern Region could not hide his joy after receiving his gift from the MILO Ambassador:
“I am very excited about my new MILO® shoe. I want to be a champion like Alhaji Kassim and, after that, also make an effort to assist the needy”.
MILO® hopes to continue this gesture on a yearly basis to touch more children and communities in the country.
