Nkechi Akashili wanted to play basketball. She was determined to work hard and make a career of her passion for the basket. Her parents, however, were struggling to provide the basics for their family, so professional coaching was not in view for her. Here was talent - Nestlé Milo Basketball Championship presented the opportunity.

 

 

 

 


Christian Emenike started his trading in a small store in Ogbete market, Enugu, Enugu State. Consistently remained focused on building his business and expanding his trading portfolio into products like matches, tissue Papers, personal home care and food.




Saadatu Sani and her husband were discouraged by the lack of income 5 years after they started farming. Then they had the opportunity to participate in the Sorghum and Millet in the Sahel Project (SMS), a partnership between Nestlé Nigeria and International Fertilizer Development Cooperation (IFDC). Finally, they had a steady source of income with a ready market for their farm produce.




Every year, thousands of young Nigerians enter the labour market, academic qualification in hand, and hope in their hearts. This was the story of Mr. Wasiu Adeyeye. Hope slowly faded, as it seemed the dream job was never going to come. Then he was introduced to Nestlé My Own Business Project (MYOWBU).




Ms. Esther Daramola's foray into entrepreneurship was a product of a difficult choice she had to make earlier in life.
