On Saturday, 30 May 2015, Nido organized the final of its first ever Nido Nutri Academy competition at the auditorium Jean Pierre Guinganne in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso.
The event was well attended by representatives of the Ministry of Education and Literacy, various education and health professionals as well as nearly 1000 parents and children who learned about enjoying a healthy diet in a fun and interactive way.
Nido Nutri Academy is a space for educational and fun meetings with mothers and children on the nutrition, health and wellness of children.
Through this activity, a big inter-school spelling competition for children aged 10 to 12 was organized.
For this first edition, the event gathered 24 primary schools from the city of Ouagadougou. Every Saturday for 6 weeks, 188 students took part in the competition, 76% of which were girls.
These meetings were facilitated by nutritionists with the assistance of several musicians.
