For early-career employees

The Technical Training Centres

Our Technical Training Centers in Côte d'Ivoire and Nigeria offer practical engineering skills to young graduates. Trainees are engaged in robust theoretical and practical training. They have a unique exposure to industrial work experience in the various plants within our factory locations.

For young people looking to start a career

Nestlé needs YOUth equips young people with the skills they need to thrive in tomorrow’s workplaces. Focusing on employment/employability, entrepreneurship and agripreneurship, it has a range of initiatives in different markets, for example:

Nesternship

The COVID-19 pandemic led to the cancelling of many internship programs, causing young talents across the globe to be confined to their homes with limited opportunities to upskill themselves. To respond to this, Nestlé introduced the first regional and mainly virtual internship program dubbed Nesternship. As Nesterns, young people get the chance to level up your skills, gain on-the-job experience and expand their network, all from the comfort of their homes.

NEStalk

For young people in Central and West Africa , this program forms another part of Nestlé needs YOUth. Designed to help young people find better job opportunities, its modules include helping young people to build CVs, ace interviews and get ready for the world of work.

It really was a great opportunity for me to be selected as part of the first batch of NESTerns for CWAR. It’s been a great experience and I’ve discovered so much about myself that I did not know before. I have also picked up valuable personal and professional skills and aptitudes. I am grateful for the opportunity and look forward to doing greater things with Nestlé in the future.

Before applying for the graduate trainee program, I expected Nestlé to be one of those corporate spaces where personal freedom and creativity go to die. Thankfully, my expectations and my experience at Nestlé couldn't be more divergent from each other. Over the last couple of years, I have been given numerous opportunities to explore the limits of my capabilities and defy those limits, and this has not only improved my professional acumen, but also made me a better, more well-rounded person.

I joined Nestlé as a Management Trainee after I earned my master's degree and it's been a really great time working with team members who have a wealth of experience. I have also led projects on my own and have built good relationships with people.
