Groundnut soup is made with roasted groundnuts made into a smooth paste. It is common in the West African region, every country has a recipe and with different names, Ghanaian groundnut soup is light and runny, whereas countries like Senegal and Ivory Coast have more of a thick saucy consistency but all recipes pass as delicious, savory and comforting.
