Nestlé Ghana Ltd. has unveiled its newly redesigned packaging for NIDO®, a cherished milk powder brand that has been nourishing families across the country for generations. This initiative highlights Nestlé's commitment to providing nutritious products and its ongoing efforts to minimize environmental impact.
The repackaged NIDO® features a visually appealing design and an easier-to-recycle plastic. Simplifying the packaging materials for seamless recycling is part of Nestlé’s commitment to reducing waste and minimizing environmental impact.
The new NIDO® packaging also prominently displays key nutritional information, including its iron content, ensuring that consumers and caregivers are aware of the specific nutrients it is fortified with and their benefits. This information empowers parents and caregivers to make informed choices about their child’s nutrition by choosing NIDO®.

In addition to the new packaging, Nestlé Ghana is actively involved in various sustainability initiatives, including waste management programs and the adoption of renewable energy sources within its operations. Corporate Communication and Public Affairs Manager, Deborah Kwablah, emphasized that the company recognizes the importance of promoting a cleaner and healthier environment for the well-being of future generations. This commitment is reflected in the adoption of sustainable practices to minimize the environmental impact of its processes and packaging.
NIDO® has also launched its ‘NOURISHING CHANGEMAKERS CAMPAIGN’, aimed at (briefly describe the campaign’s goal—e.g., supporting children's education, encouraging healthy lifestyles, or promoting environmental sustainability).
In her speech, Salome Azevedo, Business Executive Officer for Beverages and Dairy in the Nestlé Central and West Africa region, stated that the campaign focuses on showcasing how today’s key values will be essential in equipping children to create significant and positive change in the future.
