At Nestlé R&D Abidjan, we develop and deploy product primarily for Sub-Saharan Africa, using local raw materials from the countries where we operate. We offer affordable, tasty and healthier product choices for sub-Saharan Africa and beyond.
We designed the Nestlé Nutrition Profiling System (NNPS) to help us understand the nutritional value of our foods and beverages. It’s based on sound nutrition science and public health recommendations. Our goal is to design and transform our recipes to be healthier and tastier.
The system works by looking at where the product fits into an overall diet, what public health issues might be relevant, whether people are likely to eat large amounts, and what typical serving sizes will look like.
