Sub-Saharan Africa innovation challenge winners announced| Nestlé

Nestlé Waters, the leading healthy hydration Company in Nigeria, on Saturday, February 9, 2013, launched its new PURE LIFE 5-litre bulk water at the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos.

The event was attended by health care professionals, trade partners, nutritionists, customers, consumers and the media.

Country Business Manager for Nestlé Waters - Nigeria, Adewale Ojo, said the Nestlé subsidiary, which began operations in that country seven years ago, has developed an outstanding expertise in bottled water.

Nestlé PURE LIFE, he adds, undergoes a multi-step filtration process, which ensures that the consumer gets a refreshing and pure-tasting water.

Besides, the new 5-litre bottle offers more volume at a great value, responding to the needs of consumers.

Managing Director of Nestlé Nigeria, Martin Woolnough, said that one of the competitive edges the Nestlé Waters business is pioneering was a process aimed at discovering what gives each individual water its distinctive character.

This, he noted, will enable the company to develop “a language for water” and use same to offer products that are pleasurable for consumers.

The product was launched on behalf of Prof. Ngozi Nnan, President of the Nutrition Society of Nigeria by Dr Bartholomew Brai, Research Fellow, Nigerian Institute of Medical Research who commended the company for bringing safe and affordable water to Nigerians of all ages.

Nestlé PURE LIFE is said to be one of the easiest ways to stay properly hydrated throughout the day.
