Cereals are rapidly becoming a breakfast staple across the continent. They offer an easy to make option in the morning that’s healthy and full of nutrients. However there are many varieties and brands of cereals and not all of them make for a healthy breakfast. That’s why it’s important to check the labels when shopping for cereals. Be sure to check the ingredients list on the side of the box and choose those with whole grains. Also make sure to check the serving size and whether the amount listed is smaller than the portion you normally eat. If it is then all the numbers listed on the ingredients will be higher for you. Which is great for the good stuff like fiber, but bad for sodium, sugar and carbohydrates.
