People trying to lose weight often skip out on breakfast in order to cut out calories. By the doing so they’re missing out on the most important meal of the day. For example studies show a good breakfast improves mental performance through the day. In addition skipping out on breakfast is likely to lead to overeating later in the day. In contrast a high-protein breakfast keeps you full of energy, mentally alert, keeps you full for longer and even helps you lose weight as the body spends more calories metabolizing proteins, compared to fats or carbohydrates.
