Paul Bulcke wins 2017 Concordia Leadership Award

Nestlé Chairman Paul Bulcke has been given the Concordia Leadership Award for 2017 for leading the company’s ongoing commitment to Creating Shared Value and supporting the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.

This prestigious award recognises global leaders within the public, private, and nonprofit sectors who inspire others through their ability to turn vision into impact. Recipients of the award reflect a commitment to positive social and economic change while promoting effective public-private collaboration to create a more prosperous and sustainable future.

In accepting the award Mr Bulcke highlighted Nestlé’s global commitment to youth, the Nestlé needs YOUth initiative, which aims to help 10 million young people around the word have access to economic opportunities by 2030.

"Young men and women are the future of our societies and our economies. Yet they are struggling to find a place in a system that seems to have abandoned them" he said. "Companies around the world need to embrace the challenge and invest more in young people. This makes good business sense."
