Nestlé Burkina support the care of patients during COVID-19|Nestlé

(Ouagadougou July 30, 2020) - Nestlé Burkina donates medical equipment to the Ministry of Health as part of the fight against the coronavirus pandemic.

In the context of the health crisis, patient care is an essential element. Nestlé Burkina, in its capacity as a responsible and civic company, supports the efforts of the Burkinabé Government by contributing to treatment centres for the reception of critical patients.

To this end, Nestlé Burkina is donating three (3) artificial respirators worth twenty-five (25) million CFA francs to medical centers to contribute to better patient care.

"Now is the time to stick together”. On behalf of the staff of Nestlé Burkina, I would like to reiterate our commitment to the State of Burkina Faso in the fight against the pandemic and to renew our support to all Burkinabés and more particularly to health professionals who spare no effort in this fight.

True to its purpose of improving quality of life and contributing to a healthier future, Nestlé Burkina will continue to work with the authorities for the health and well-being of all.

The Deputy Head reiterated his commitment to ensure the constant availability of affordable and nutritious food products so that families continue to eat healthy during these difficult times.

We recall that previous donations in the fight against the spread of COVID 19 were made during the month of May

• For vulnerable people (donation of Nestlé products)

• At Joseph Ki Zerbo University (Sanitary products)

• At the University Center (Sanitary products)

• Retailers of MAGGI broths in markets (Food and sanitary products kits)

• At 20 primary schools (Wash hands)

• Health professionals (protective masks)

In addition, in accordance with the recommendations of the health authorities, Nestlé Burkina has taken very strict measures to ensure the health and safety of its employees, its partners and the various players in its distribution chain.

Globally, multinational Nestlé has partnered with the International Federation of the Red Cross (IFRC) to strengthen the global response against COVID 19.
